Headquartered in Hannover, Fraunhofer ITEM focuses on respiratory research – the R&D portfolio covers three business units: drug development, chemical safety, and translational biomedical engineering. At the Science Campus Braunschweig-Süd, a multidisciplinary team is developing biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes up to GMP-compliant manufacturing of active ingredients and investigational medicinal products for clinical trials.
