Emerging infectious diseases and the spread of antibiotic resistance are just two examples of the major public health challenges posed by pathogens. Therefore, the Science Campus brings science, education, training and industry even closer together, thus acting as an innovative life science incubator.

Under the umbrella brand “Science Campus Braunschweig-Süd”, founded in 2017, the research location is visible nationwide. This location advantage attracts start-up companies, which benefit from the experience of the research institutes and in turn contribute new impulses. Short spatial distances facilitate the joint advancement of projects in infection and drug research. The synergies make it possible to quickly and systematically transfer results from basic research to application at the patient's bedside.
